Home - English Christianstads Motettkör was founded in 1863 and is one of Swedens oldest choirs. It is a mixed choir with around 30 members, both young and old. We have a varied and international repetoir of sacred music, jazz, Swedish folk music, traditional Swedish Christmas and spring chorals. Every other year we perform a large scale work with the symphony orchestra, in between doing smaller scale projects. We have cooperated with the Christianstads Symfoniker, University Delaware Chorale (USA), Kristianstads musikklasser, Helsingborgs Kammarkör, Kvisttofta-Glumslövs Kyrkokör and Monday Night Big Band, and participated in 'Music for Millions' in Helsingborg. We have also performed with artists such as Göran Söllscher, Cyndee Peters, Lena Willemark, John Kluge, Johan Stengård and others. In December 2010 the Choir won Silver Band at the Festival of Advent an Christmas Music in Bratislava, Slovakia, and in 2007 the choir won first prize at the 3rd International Warsaw Choir Festival in Warsaw, Poland. Listen and watch on YouTube. Conductor: Lena Ekman Frisk
